Who are we?
The Leeds Overseas Travel Clinic is a local service that is available to everyone. Our aim is to ensure that you return fit and well from your travels. It is an NHS clinic run by Leeds PCT and supported by the infection and travel medicine department at St James's University Hospital Leeds.
How soon before my trip should I get my vaccinations?
It is recommended that your vaccinations should be completed at least two weeks before travel. Some vaccination schedules require several weeks. We advise arranging an appointment well before your planned departure.
What should I bring to my appointment?
It is helpful if you can bring as much detail about your itinerary as possible. Bring any previous vaccination records. It will save time and help us make a more accurate assessment of your travel health needs if you download and complete the attached form.
Do I have to know the itinerary for my trip?
It is very useful to know your itinerary since this will help determine what vaccinations and malaria tablets will be required. Fit for Travel destination maps provide up to date country by country advice regarding malaria risk and immunisations.
What will happen at my appointment?
You will be given an appointment at either a doctor or nurse led clinic. We will provide an outline of vaccines and malaria prophylaxis based on your travel destination(s). You will receive any vaccinations needed or be provided with malaria tablets. Further appointments will be made as necessary depending on your vaccination schedule.
What payment methods does the travel clinic accept?
Payment is by cash or cheque (with card) only.

Where is the travel clinic located?
The travel clinic is located at Leafield Clinic, 109 King Lane, Moortown, Leeds LS17 5BP. You can reach us by bus: 9, 34, 35, 38, 51 and 71 all go from Leeds city centre and pass the clinic By Car: Outer ring road (A6120), Moor Allerton shopping centre (Sainsbury and Homebase).
